Stands for "Musical Instrument Digital Interface"
Interface protocol to connect and allow communication between MIDI equipped musical instruments and computers. Unlike the Atari ST, the Amiga doesn't have MIDI hardware as standard, although it is very easy to drive it off the serial port.
